| The version of the Orb is an external drive with a 50-pin Ultra SCSI interface so you can
use it with any system with SCSI interface.
ORB disks are perfect for a variety of applications that require the storage of large amounts
of digital data, including content authoring, like CAD/CAM, graphic design, publishing and
multimedia presentations, and editing of content, like music and video, MP3 Audio, DV,
MPEG-2, information technology (IT) markets can use ORB drives as a way to easily and
quickly increase PC storage, and for backing up employee files and digital electronic sales
via Web sites.
Castlewood is providing ORB Tools a feature-rich suite of functions such as Write Protect,
Initialize and Format, "File Finder," media status reporting and more. Castlewood uses a
new design, called "header less ID," obsolescing the need for disk formatting. Also, ORB's
one-step backup sets a new standard for thoroughness, simplicity and security by
automating system disk and file backups.
Thanks to its MR technology, the Orb is rated at a Mean Time Between Failure Rating of
300,000 hours. Castlewood backs the Orb's reliability with a one-year limits warranty.
